Miriam and Matt held their wedding event over a weekend at the luxurious Linthwaite House in Bowness in the Lake District. Linthwaite House is a beautiful hotel, set back from Lake Windermere on the hills which means that Linthwaite House has a spectacular view over the lake. Linthwaite House is the perfect hotel to be close to all the amenities in and around Windermere and Bowness and is a wonderful venue for a relaxing stay. Linthwaite House has its own private tarn with boats for guest use and stunning grounds to enjoy with views over Lake Windermere. Linthwaite House is home to Henrock, Michelin starred chef Simon Rogan’s latest restaurant which uses produce grown in his own local farm. 

Miriam and Matt regularly head to the Lakes to enjoy a relaxing break so it was the perfect location for their weekend wedding celebration. Linthwaite House was exclusively used for their wedding for the duration of the weekend and I joined everyone on Saturday for the welcome drinks on the terrace. Once everyone had arrived we all headed down to Lake Windermere for a boat cruise where the team from Henrock laid on afternoon tea with champagne for the guests as we sailed around Lake Windermere. Once we returned to Linthwaite House Miriam and Matt headed to the tarn and had a romantic row across the tarn as the sun started to set. A BBQ was prepared by the Henrock team which looked spectacular as the sun set over Windermere.

I returned on Sunday for the preparation for the wedding. It was a pleasure to work alongside outstanding wedding photographers Sarah and Jeff Ascough. Miriam and Matt’s wedding celebration was a Jewish ceremony led by Miriam’s father who is a Rabbi. It was a wonderfully personalised ceremony set outside in the grounds of Linthwaite House overlooking Lake Windermere.  The drinks reception was held on the terrace before a beautiful wedding breakfast created by the chef’s at Henrock before celebrating to a live band late into the night. Linthwaite House is the perfect venue for a luxury wedding weekend and I look forward to returning soon.
